BURYFields will once again be donating part of its ticket sales to worthy local causes. This year they have chosen IBB Solicitors Charitable fund and Chesham Rugby Club’s Future Building project.

IBB Charitable Trust is a grant-making trust set up by IBB Solicitors, to support charities in the communities in which the firm works. The board of trustees is made up of four partners of the firm. The giving committee, which comprises representatives from across the firm, meets quarterly to assess donation requests and make recommendations to the trustees.

Grants to national charities are made on the proviso that the sums are ring-fenced for the benefit of local projects. The Trust has made donations to:

Shed @ the Park
Michael Sobell Hospice
Heritage House School
Asthma Relief
Headway South Bucks
Shooting Star Chase
Home Start
Macmillan Cancer Support
MHA live at home
British Polio Fellowship
The Payback Foundation
Wycombe Women’s Aid
Hillingdon Crossroads for Carers

Coram Voice

…among many others.

Cliff Davies, Club President of Chesham Rugby Club had this to say about the project.
“Help us build a legacy for young people in Chesham and further afield. Chesham Rugby Union Football Club, ‘Chesham Stags’ is seeking support from individuals and organisations to help build a legacy for its youth and is very grateful to BURYFields for making this donation. Following on from the success of England Women’s Rugby World Cup team taking the title in Paris in August 2014, and building upon the legacy that has been put in place ahead of the Men’s Rugby World Cup Championship in England in 2015, we are laying the foundations for developing the next generation of rugby players. The future of community rugby lies with our young people and your investment in building a clubhouse will enable us to begin that legacy for them. As Club President, I am privileged to see the positive transformation rugby has on young people’s lives”.
