“Bury yourself in a Field of dreams”
“WHILE summer does its best to arrive on our horizons, it’s time to think festivals. And where better to look than Bucks’ own gem of music, comedy and fun in the heart of the Chiltern.
Back after a year’s well-earned break on Saturday, June 16 is BURYFields – our own unique and much-loved boutique family festival – with a blistering bill of delights far beyond your average mainstream corporate music fest, all set in the picturesque surroundings of The Bury in Chesham Old Town.
With a back catalogue that boasts the likes of This Is The Kit, Terry Hall, The Wonder Stuff, Goldie Lookin’ Chain, Dub Pistols and The Selecter and comics of the calibre of Ardal O’Hanlon, Arthur Smith and Alex Horne, BURYFields 5 promises to be better than ever with something truly for everyone.
Topping the bill is one-time punk legend and singer, founder and frontman of The Stranglers, Hugh Cornwell with his mighty big band a supporting cast of quintessentially English jangly folksters CC Smugglers plus not one but two kings of Britpop in the shape of Space and Dodgy as co-headliners of the Woodlands Acoustic Stage.
No less impressive is the line-up on the comedy stage where the darling of the TV panel shows Zoe Lyons comperes a bill that features Essex metrosexual millennial Russell Kane and those kings of double-entendre, samples and stylophones, the Raymond & Mr Timpkins Revue.
With a supporting cast that includes rising Essex three-piece and darlings of Radios 1 and 2, Animal Noise, and Bristolian folk funkster Jasper Storey and singer-songwriter Holiday Oscar and plenty more to come, BURYFields 2018 really shouldn’t be missed.
And with tickets available from just £35 adults, £76 family, £23 youth and £9 children and your journey just the price of a tube ticket, you’d be a fool not to book your feast of fun in June right now.”
